Location:
The beautiful Vail Valley and Town of Vail is located approximately 100 miles west of Denver, 120 miles from Denver International Airport. Interstate 70 runs through Vail and the main Vail exit is #176.


Altitude:
Vail's altitude is 8,150 feet above sea level. High altitude effects everyone differently and to varying degrees. To make your transition to altitude easier, moderate your food and beverage intake (especially alcoholic beverages) and level of activity. Try to drink plenty of water, however, as the climate is very dry. You should acclimate to the altitude in a few days. If you have any questions about the potential effects high altitude may have on you, contact your physician prior to your trip.


Shopping, Dining , Activities:
The Vail Marriott is located in close proximity to many shops, restaurants and outdoor activities. Vail's two pedestrian villages, Vail Village and Lionshead Village offer many other dining options.


Activities:

They are abundant with golf, biking, fly fishing, rafting, hiking, walking and gondola lift rides providing opportunities to enjoy Vail's natural beauty. Inquire at the concierge desk or the Vail Visitor Centers about activities available during the Festival.


The Town of Vail has free in-town bus service providing frequent and easy transportation around town for additional shopping and dining options.
