Josh graduated this spring from the Greater Hartford Academy of the Performing Arts and plans to attend New School University, Manhattan School of Music or Berklee College of Music this fall. A member of this year’s Grammy High School All-Star Band, he has also been a member of the Connecticut All-State Jazz Band for the last two years. Josh has been fortunate to have performed with many great musicians including James Moody, Slide Hampton, Mulgrew Miller, Lewis Nash, Barry Harris and Jon Faddis, to name a few; but, he indicates that the most important educational experience has been a three year association with Jackie McLean “in which he has become my mentor and inspiration.” He currently teaches at the Artist’s Collective, even though he is also a student there, because he enjoys helping other students.
