Norman has just graduated from LaGuardia High School of the Performing Arts in New York and will be attending the Manhattan School of Music in the fall. He began to play the drums at two and by the age of six he was playing in church. A member of his high school jazz band, his rhythm section was selected Best Rhythm Section at last year's Essentially Ellington Competition. Norman also was a member of several jazz combos at his school as well as the New York All-City Jazz Big Band. He has had extensive performance experience and has won a number of awards as a performer including the New York City Housing Authority Talent Search competition. In addition to the drums, Norman also plays the vibraphone.
