En español, Quemando means “burning”… em português it means “scorching”…in English, it means better not miss this band! This multi-piece conflagration features a fast and fiery horn section, multiple red-hot percussion players, smoldering vocalists and tons of incendiary energy. So if you’re hot-tempered, hot-headed, hot-blooded, or just plain hot, you’ll be jumping to your feet for this blazing band. Recognized as one of Colorado’s finest Latin bands, Boulder-based Quemando offers creative, red-hot takes on Celia Cruz, Marc Anthony, Gloria Estefan and other Latin and salsa tracks…but don’t be surprised to hear a little Sinatra or The Beatles thrown onto the pyre. Quemando is famous for igniting parties, so be sure to grab a spicy-hot Margarita and find a great spot on the Solaris lawn…with plenty of room for hip-shakin’. Quemando will have the night air cracklin’ and sizzlin’. Not coincidentally, the opening act this evening will be the Kent School Denver Band, led by Quemando keyboardist Justin Adams.
