Kick off the summer with Vail Jazz! Join us as we commence the 29th Annual Vail Jazz Festival with drinks, hors d’oeuvres, dancing, and funk music.

Wycliffe Gordon knows funk music! The musical foundation of funk fused the unique jazz rhythmic patterns employed by Black musicians in New Orleans with elements of R&B and soul music, along with a healthy bass “groove.” While ethnomusicologists may continue to debate the origins of the name and the music, what is clear is that funk is for dancing and this year Wycliffe Gordon is bringing a band of some of the funkiest musicians around for your dancing pleasure. So, bring your dancing shoes and prepare to get down!
