Workshop Alumni Happenings May 13 – May 26, 2026

Marcus Gilmore (drums 2002), Terrace Martin (saxophone 1997), and Morgan Guerin (saxophone 2014) are all making appearances at the legendary Blue Note Jazz Club in NYC this spring, continuing the strong presence of Vail Jazz Workshop alumni on one of the world’s most iconic jazz stages. Gilmore will take the stage on May 13-14, while Martin will perform on May 13–17 and again on May 26 alongside Guerin.
Performances
Keyon Harrold (trumpet 1997) will be in Cambridge, MA, on May 14 at Regattabar. He will be playing in Cape May, NJ, on May 15 at Cape May Convention Hall. On May 16, Harrold heads to Carnegie Hall in New York, NY. He then travels to Beverly Hills, CA, for performances at the Saban Theatre on May 19–20, before appearing at the Atlanta Jazz Festival in Atlanta, GA, on May 22.
Bryan Carter (drums 2007) will be playing at Dizzy’s in NYC on May 16.
Corey Fonville (drums 2009) will be performing at Rivanna River Company in Charlottesville, VA, on May 16.
Saxophonist Tia Fuller (1995) will be playing in Indianapolis, IN, on May 16 at The Jazz Kitchen.
Summer Camargo (trumpet 2018) will be performing at Monks in Austin, TX, on May 16 and 25.
Grace Kelly (saxophone 2008) will be performing in West Hollywood, CA, at The Sun Rose on May 21.
Pianist Isaiah J. Thompson (2014) will be in Portsmouth, NH, on May 22 at Jimmy’s Jazz & Blues Club. On May 23, Thompson performs at Nashua Center for the Arts in Nashua, NH, followed by a performance at Shalin Liu Performance Center in Rockport, MA on May 24.
Morgan Guerin will be playing in Dallas, TX, on May 22 at The Longhorn Ballroom & Backyard Amphitheater. Then he will play in Jacksonville, FL, on May 23 at the Ford on Bay. On May 24, he will be performing in Atlanta, GA, at the Atlanta Jazz Festival.
Saxophonist Natalie Barbieri (2019) will be taking the stage at Swinbellys BBQ in Long Beach, CA, on May 24.
Ambrose Akinmusire (trumpet 2000) will be playing at Village Vanguard in NYC on May 26.
